There are so many interesting, fun and just plain weird websites out there, so I thought I'd start putting some of them here.
The first one involves a book I just read, Kabul Beauty School by Deborah Rodriguez.
It is about the author's struggle to open a beauty school and salon in Kabul, Afghanistan, and her fight to give Afghan women more independence.
She is also the President of Oasis Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women in the Middle East by training them as beauticians. By giving them training they would otherwise not receive, they are able to support their families, and pass the training on to other women.
I highly recommend reading her book, and visiting her website, to find out more.
Not all posts will be this heavy, but I just finished this book and wanted to share it with you.
